When I’ll Remember

When whispered breathing touches skin

at the taste of honey on my teeth

fingers through seeded fruit

and hollow holy eyes on me

Black shoes too tight

and please please please please

When the wind refuses to stop

blowing through the trees

I felt the sun on my back today

and it felt like you

I knew my burning was all consuming

Your oiled spark caught too
