begging to be believed

love is not a begging

a begging to be believed

it’s a slow turning of page

devotion to learning

a faith in unseen

love is not provision or proof

evidence that’s evident

yet readily ignored

it is an asking, so gently, to tell tell tell more

love is not a squandering or wandering carefree

its a focus, a knownness

a truth learned by candlelight,

a reflective soft sheen

love is not rooted in ownership or greed

its reverence so effortless

in ropes that are free
