Sacrament

Why does the thinning of the veil have to happen only in rooms made of secret and stone?

Have you not seen angels behind your eyelids, on a summers day in June?

Have you not conversed with the ancient in the field behind your home or asked spirit to meet you in that sacred space between sky and a high place?

The exclusion of the natural, of mother, of earth, in our conversation with the divine is when we sever ourselves from the first womb.

Is the body of a woman not the first veil? The vessel from which life enters this realm?

Is touching her not sacred too? Is this too not sanctified? I take the sacrament of her body and I say, this too.

This too.
